Ring. This piece has been shaped as a thick ring, with a convex outer edge. The inner edge is very smooth, either from wear or from the original polishing. Made of jade (brown).

Comments:Rawson 1995:Jade bracelets seem to have originated in the Hongshan culture, after which they bacame and remained a feature of many other Neolithic cultures. A number are found in Liangzhu culture tombs.Bracelets with a more pronounced curved outer surface have been found at Zhejiang Yuhang Fanshan and Yaoshan. A similar piece belongs to Sir Joseph Hotung’s collection, on display at the Jade Gallery of the British Museum.
