Description:
Ration book. Ration book for staple foods issued in Beijing in 1970. The front cover is printed with a ‘Supreme Directive’ (in red box at top, and probably quoting Mao Zedong) and the administrative body (in red circle). The inside pages document the issue of staple products to a person called Wu Shaohua between October 1970 and June 1977. The book was repaired at some stage (using a white thread and in the style of a traditional Chinese bookbinding).
