Plate XXII: in the foreground, the Emperor Qianlong in a type of horse-drawn chariot with large unfurled flags attached to the rear, accompanied by ministers, mandarins and principal officers of the crown; the imperial procession, includes horsemen (some with standards or parasols, some with lances tipped with leopard tails) winds it way towards a bridge over a river. 1788 Etching and engraving
