Comments:Tributaries coming to Court had been a courtly painting theme, since at least the Tang dynasty. It remained popular during the reign of the three great Qing emperors. Under their rule, representatives of vassal states and European countries came to court at New Year. In this print, the publisher, Wang Junfu, has popularised and commercialised the theme for the New Year celebrations.
