Description:
A pocket / pouch / belt-pendant. Made of red silk brocaded cloth with self-colour cloud motifs and ‘shou’ (longevity/immortality) motif worked in gold-coloured metal-wrapped thread. Folded into vertical concertina pleats at top; held in place with red/blue cord with tassel (endless knot) at end; loosening of cord allows access to shallow pocket/pouch. In front of pocket opening hangs red/blue braid (motifs/ground colours swopped on obverse); large, flat endless macramé knot (gold-coloured, metal-wrapped thread, doubled) and blue tassel suspended below. Loop made from blue tabby silk cloth (some holes; faded); lining made with same cloth; ink stains.
