Description:
‘Famille rose’ porcelain dish with an English coat of arms (Talbot). This dish is painted in overglaze enamels and gold with a central coat of arms surrounded by rose – pink enamel mantling, and a diaper pattern with flower heads in iron – red and gold in the cavetto, with four cartouches showing emblems. The rim bears a standing lion as a crest, and three sprays showing pomegranates, a musical instrument (sheng) and finger citron. Four iron-red flowers on the back.
