Description:
Plate. Coat of arms of Dorothy, Dowager Countess of Macclesfield. Made of enamelled porcelain. The arms are Parker, “Gules a chevron between three leopard’s faces or, impaling Nesbitt (?), Argent three wolves’ (?) heads erased able (although this coat is not recorded for Nesbitt). The coat is on a lozenge below a countess’s coronet and supported by two leopards regardane proper each gorged with a ducal coronet gules”. The motto is SAPERE AUDE.
