Description:
Rectangular plaque made of painted and gilded clay. Shown is the Buddha seated in meditation inside a niche. The robe is drawn over his head, the hands are folded in his lap and covered by the under-garnment, the feet are covered by the robe. The mould-made and unfired plaque must have been very colourful originally and traces of purple, green, pink, blue, red and black pigments can still be made out although they are very faded. Only the gilding of the hem of the robe survived rather well. The lower right corner of the object is missing.
