Description:
Stucco plaque showing a flying gandharva holding a garland. Gandharvas are male nature spirits said to have superb musical skills. The being seems to be nude except for a cape and is shown wearing jewellery and a diadem. The head is surrounded by a nimbus, the hair is in a topknot. Traces of red, blue and flesh-coloured pigments remain.
