Period:Unknown Production date:1895 (?)
Materials:copper
Technique:repoussé
Dimensions:Length: 7.87 centimetres
Description:
Wedge-shape plaque made of repoussé copper. The very thin metal sheet is decorated with the depiction of two human figures, but only the heads are clearly visible. Furthermore, the decoration also seems to consist of Chinese characters, but these are barely legible. The slit in the very centre of the plaque suggests that the object was fastened to other objects. This plaque is one of a group of six objects. See also the registration numbers 1902,1220.80 and 1902,1220.82-85.
