Fragment of a round clay plaque depicting a lion’s face. The animal is shown in full frontal view with its head surrounded by a very stylised curled mane. Eyes, cheeks and forehead are bulging, giving the lion an evil expression. The fact that the plaque is flat on the reverse side suggests that it was applied to another object, probably a vessel.
