Porcelain rectangular table screen. The table screen has yellow enamel over a felspathic glaze. There is a cock with cockscomb and other plants in relief on the screen, and a seal impression on lower left hand corner.

This design is a visual pun meaning ‘may you have repeated promotions’ or ‘may you advance smoothly in officialdom’ (官上加官). The rooster’s comb and the fan-like cluster of flowers are rebuses for the word ‘official’. The plaque has a four-character seal mark in the bottom left hand corner which reads 壹隱道人 (yi yin dao ren ‘One Daoist recluse’).
