Description:
Fish pendant of very pale green translucent jade with brown area and slight calcification. This flat slightly curved fish incised with round eyes and striated fins terminating in a slightly flared tail. A biconical perforation pierces the straight-cut mouth of the fish.

Comments:This small fish is very neatly rendered in an almost straight line. Only the slightly flared tail is bent. There is an incised eye and a half moon for the gills. The dorsal fine and those under the belly are very neatly incised. There is a hole at the mouth of the fish. A similar fish has come from Shanxi Hongdong Yongning. See Rawson 1995, p.229, cat.no.12.35. Shang/Western Zhou.
