Comments:Rawson 1995:This set of pieces belongs to a distinctive category within the very wide range of pieces known as ‘huang’, and similar groups have been found among the jades of western Neolithic cultures. Both the stone and methods of cutting are characteristic of this area: their bright, clear colours, rather flat, plain surfaces and the drilling of the holes and main curves, principally from one side, creating slanting holes and edges. Carved from a single small block of stone, these three arcs may have been used either to form a ring or to hang in a tier.
