Negative (black and white); Pasang, Hopkinson’s Head chaprassis and a Tibetan man standing next to Hopkinson’s horses on a hillside outside Gyantse. On the day this photograph was taken Hopkinson had been to visit Cholung Hermitage, north east of Gyantse, and this photograph was taken on their return journey. Pasang is carrying a camera case over his shoulder and what is probably a khatak offering scarf given to Hopkinson at the hermitage. Tibet. Photographic process
