Negative (black and white); Hopkinson’s horse and his assistants below Cholung Ritro to the north east of Gyantse. His head chaprassis, Pasang, can be seen in the background. A chorten and hlagang can be seen on the right and left of the image respectively. Hopkinson had visited Cholung to ask permission to transplant some of the wild roses that grew there in the spring [A. J.
