Description:
Negative (black and white); Tami was A. J. Hopkonson’s orderly. He was half Chinese and half Tibetan and Hopkinson mentions him frequently in his diaries and journals. His brother, Hubba, was orderly to Dr Vance, the Medical Officer at Gyantse. The fence in the background suggests that this image was taken in the Chumbi Valley, probably in Yatung. Tibet.
