Negative (black and white); The Taring family in the chapel of their family house outside Gyantse. Left to right: Taring Raja, Mrs Taring, Jigme Taring, Miss Taring, Shime Taring. The chapel is full of butter lamps and other objects and the walls are elaborately decorated with thangka, as well as apparently being covered with imported wallpaper. They are seated in front of a table which has an offering of barley flour on topn as well as a number of other vessels . Tibet. Photographic process
