Description:
Mirror with serpentine interlaces and leaves. Round bronze mirror with bands of decoration emanating from the knob in concentric circles. The first is plain and the second decorated with alternating round and triangular swirls continuing the background pattern of the largest band. These are separated by hachured bands encased in raised lines. The interlaces are divided into three sections by leaf-shaped features. At the centre of each is a creature’s head with open jaws framed by its curling body, feet and tail(s).
