Comments:Compare with the toggle illustrated in Margaret Duda, Traditional Chinese Toggles: Counterweights and Charms, Editions Didier Millet Pte Ltd, Singapore, 2011, p. 253, fig. 58. The inscription refers to Dou Yujun 窦禹鈞 (also known as Dou Yanshan 竇燕山 , whose name appears in the Thousand Character Classic《三字經》in the lines 竇燕山, 有義方。教五子,名俱揚), whose five sons all passed the imperial civil service exam.
