Description:
Porcelain jar and cover with crackled glaze, underglaze blue and brown painting. This ovoid jar has a short straight neck and a splayed foot. Its cover is in the form of a shallow dish which fits loosely into the neck. The cover is painted with a bird in flight in thick iron brown which is repeated on one side of the jar. On the other side of the jar is a flowering shrub in underglaze blue and brown. Both jar and cover are glazed in a dull creamy yellow.
