Description:
This globular porcelain jar has a short neck and thick foot ring. Around the centre is a band of alternating large and small lotus flowers and leaves with a lingzhi border around the neck and lotus lappets around the foot in doucai enamels. The jar was made in the Republican era before 1930 as an imitation Chenghua (1465-87) piece and has an underglaze blue mark on the base.
