Porcelain jar with underglaze blue decoration. This ovoid jar has a short neck, thick spreading foot and an unglazed base. It is painted with a scaly dragon with two front legs with four claws and a long forked scrolling tail. Around the shoulders of the jar is a border of ‘ruyi’ heads. The jar is covered with a web of brown crackled lines, the result of the kiln temperature being too high or the jar being in the subsequent fire.
