A long thing apron is worn in the front. The jacket is worn over blouse, jumpber or tee-shirt. Over this is put the separate neckpiece, tied around the waist with tassles at the back. The cummerbund is wound tightly, reaching just over the bottom of the front neckpiece. Puttees are worn, with white showing the decoration diagonally around leg. On market days etc. women wear a plain blue cotton jacket with flat collars similar ot the one in the collection and skirts open in front. The sides are tucked into the waistband. (photos A, B and C). Puttees can be worn inside out to protect the embroidery and over extra blue strips of cloth to give extra warmth. The group is still poor, it seems, and cannot afford modern leggings bought in the market.
