Porcelain ink-slab with rounded sides, a well and an unglazed upper surface. There are two five-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl in underglaze blue on the sides. There is a mark on the base.

As the grinding continues, more water is added and the liquid ink pools in the sunken channel of the stone. Ink-stones should be abrasive enough to grind the ink and smooth enough not to damage the fine hairs of the brush.
