Clay vessel. This vessel was wheel-thrown using red clay and then covered with a white slip before being fired. The bottom of the vessel is flat and the body slightly curved. From the shoulder of the vessel, the walls close in to form a round mouth with a thickened edge. Additionally, a wide flange was built around the shoulder of the vessel, much of which has broken off. Four holes can be seen in the shoulder. The usage of the vessel is unclear, but it might have been some sort of incense burner.
