Description:
Breast-band (embroidered, with bells) from horse harness. Ground made of red/orange wool woven cloth with nap. Floral patterning embroidered in polychrome silk yarns and couched gold metal-wrapped thread. Animal figure (?) motifs with hands at each end; silk embroidery (and more gold wrapped thread) on brocaded cloth. Two vertical lines of brass bells; five bells each. Edges piped with blue/cream brocaded cloth. Band lined with blue tabby cotton cloth. Four leather straps at each end (one missing).
