Description:
A layman’s hat; upturned brim covering crown with flat top. Crown made of overlapping embroidered blue/black satin silk cloth. Polychrome floral silk embroidery with motifs outlined with couched gold metal-wrapped thread (double line). Red macramé wool (?) knot and tassel stitched to centre top. Padded (with cardboard?) brim covered with black cotton velvet cloth. Lined with red tabby cotton cloth.
