Description:
A monk’s / lama’s hat / head-dress; deepest at centre front, tapering towards back. Made from a yellow wool fabric with a tight, close pile on plaited (?) ground; technique? Red twill woven cotton flaps at back, partially stitched together (lined with natural cream twill cotton (?) cloth with glaze). Three small blue silk tassels at bottom edge. Top edge of head-dress piped with red twill cotton cloth; lined with natural cream tabby cotton cloth, unstitched at bottom edge.
