Description:
Semi-circular monk’s / lama’s hat. Outer part made from brown damask silk cloth [‘shou’ (longevity/immortality), endless knot and floral motifs]. Inner part, circular in shape with pointed triangle in centre – made from red 2/2 twill wool cloth. Fastened with red tabby cotton ties. Triangular shape padded with plain sheets of paper (sections now missing). Small holes in red cloth.
