Description:
A woman’s hat (for worship); quilted, with ear flaps. Upper part made from dark red damask silk cloth (quilting vertical); some sections shattered. Middle top has red macramé knot (tabby cloth) on applied circular blue cotton tabby cloth with blue/white chequered trimming at edge. Lower section made from blue tabby cotton cloth (quilting mainly horizontal). Ear flaps lined with (vestiges of) light brown fur / cream leather. Hat lined with mid-brown tabby cotton cloth; same cloth used for ties.
