Description:
Figuratively decorated handle of a clay vessel. The handle was moulded in the shape of a griffin, here depicted as an animal with the body of a horse, wings and the head of a bird of prey. The head of the animal forms an extension of the handle, details such as the mane or the plumage of the wings were rendered using incised dashes and lines.
