Jade halberd, ge. Part of the blade is decorated in a diamond pattern band. The hilt is decorated with parallel grooves, perforated and notched.

Comments:A bronze weapon was taken as the model for such sceptres. Rawson 1995:The first jade ‘ge’ seem to have appeared almost simultaneously with the first bronze ones in Erlitou. […] In the succeeding stages of the Erligang period of the early Shang, both jades and bronzes were employed at Zhengzhou and Panlongcheng, much further south in Hubei province. Many of these relatively early pieces are long in proportion to their width, whereas, by the time of Fu Hao, c. 1200 BC, at the height of the Anyang stage, ge were generally shorter.
