Description:
Part of a fire-lighting equipment. This is a fragmentary wooden board with two carved notches and the remainder of a third clearly visible. Into these notches a wooden shaft was inserted and then spun with the hands, eventually creating heat through friction. Two of the notches show clear traces of smoldering.
