Figurine; carved of camphor wood; in the form of man seated on chair on pedestal; pedestal rectangular with rounded corners, painted brown; chair painted brown, orange blanket over back, dragon head painted gold with red mouth at end of each arm; man seated in chair wears gold crown with serpent? at top, skin painted pink, hair and eyebrows white, real hair glued on for moustache, beard and sideburns, lips red, robe blue with gold circles on upper arms, knees and at centre of chest, holds fly whisk (brown handle, white whisk) in right hand.

Comments:Represents the deity “Lu Dong Bing” (a Daoist Immortal), also known as Loi Jo or Lu Sun Young, a scholar and recluse who learnt the secrets of Daoism and gained immortality at the age of fifty.
