Description:
Woman’s apron, worn over jacket As.1998.01.14, as part of festival costume As.1998.01.14-17. Base cloth is cotton, possibly hand-woven, hand-stitched, dyed dark blue indigo. With bib and ties. Bib edged with pale blue bias strip. Ties made in three sections – i) wide pale indigo; ii) narrow black cloth; iii) blue and black resist-patterend with sewn-on fringe at end. .
