Description:
Handleless stoneware ewer partially covered with a yellow-green glaze. This ewer has a pear-shaped body, concave base and dish mouth. Attached at the side is a short upright spout turned out at the end and supported by a strut to the neck. The vessel is now only partially covered with a pale yellow-green glaze at the neck and mouth, the top of the strut and spout. This was one or relatively few coarse wares recovered from the Hatcher shipwreck, datable to c. 1643, and sold at auction.
