Ewer with a wide mouth, rings at the side and decorated base. Made of sheets of tinned copper.

Comments:The handles on the sides of this vessel demonstrate how it was most likely hung from a ceiling using leather straps. The decorated base would have therefore been visible. It may have been used in a monastery, and would have most likely contained tea. From Register “[Landon =] Times correspondent with 1904 Expedition”; (presumably Younghusband military expedition).
