Description:
Porcelain dish with gently curved sides and slightly eveted rim. There are two dragons chasing a flaming pearl in green overglaze enamel on a yellow enamel ground on the exterior, and an undecorated interior. There is a mark in underglaze blue on the base.

The base has a six-character Qianlong reign mark in underglaze blue on the base and the inside and base is covered with a transparent glaze. It was given a second lower temperature firing after potters picked out the dragon and cloud design in green glaze on a ground of yellow. Potters working at Jingdezhen, in the Yongle reign (AD 1403–24) invented this green and yellow colour scheme and design.
