Description:
Zhangzhou Export ware porcelain dish with slightly flattened rim. Swatow type. There is a ‘fu’ character (good fortune) in turquoise overglaze enamel in the centre, two turquoise dragons with clouds and flames in red and green enamels, medallions containing Chinese characters between flowering peonies, chrysanthemums, plums and lotus in black, red and green in the cavetto, and a chrysanthemum scroll on rim, flower motifs in red on the exterior.

The character in the centre is 福 (fu ‘happiness’).
