Porcelain dish. Decorated in sancai style with on-biscuit enamels. Two incised dragons in white in the centre, with aubergine flaming pearl between and green waves below, on yellow ground. Six flower and fruit sprays in cavetto, in aubergine, turquoise and green on yellow ground. Outside, three groups of flowers springing from rocks. Yellow base, with mark.

Potters fired most of the Ming and Ming style porcelains twice. This dish painted with dragons has colours applied directly to the biscuit-fired porcelain body.
