Description:
White porcelain dish with clear glaze. This finely potted shallow dish has rounded sides and a tapering foot ring. It is covered inside and out with a transparent glaze which is very thin around the rim, revealing a yellowish-white body. On the convex base, in underglaze blue, is a six-character Hongzhi reign mark in a double ring beneath a blue-tinged glaze.

Comments:Harrison-Hall 2001:As is the case with monochrome white bowls, shallow white dishes of this type are not rare. However, they were made in a variety of sizes. For example, two smaller dishes (diameter 13.4 cm) are in the Sir Percival David Collection.
