Dish. Diamond shape; in centre incised design of two circling birds with rounded beaks facing each other and flying among leaf scrolls; further leaf scrolls throughout surface, with pair of birds at each of four corners. Made of silver.

Comments:An article entitled ‘Old Chinese Silver. Collection on view at British Museum’ in The Times, Wednesday 19 May 1926 (p. 13, issue 44275, column F) refers to 15 pieces, said to have been found in Pei Huang Shan, near Sianfu, Shenxi (Beihuang Shan, near Xi’an, Shaanxi), on display in the Asiatic Saloon.
