‘Swatow-type’ porcelain dish with underglaze blue decoration. Belonging to the same type as BM Franks. 222+, this ‘Swatow-type’ dish has shallow flaring sides and a gritty tapering foot and base. Inside it is painted with three phoenix encircling a medallion containing the character ‘shou’ [longevity], and with a diaper border.
