Description:
Jun stoneware dish in form of eight-petalled flower with rounded sides. The dish has thick pale blue glaze, and is pale olive green where the glaze runs thin at the rim and on raised foliations. There are three spur marks on the base, which is glazed.

The shape derives from contemporary Northern Song lacquer, gold and silver wares. The thickened rim and the lines dividing the petals are characteristic of silverware and other Song ceramics. Potters supported the dish on a three-pronged firing support and the base has three large, coarse spur marks showing where it was removed and where the glassy glaze has pooled.
