Porcelain dish. Decorated in famille verte enamels. In centre, peony spray in double ring surrounded by ten radial lobed panels, each containing a flower spray. Diaper patterns in red as ground filler, and chevron band round border. On the exterior, three green and red flower sprays. There is a mark on the base.

Potters painted the dish with a circular panel and ten radial panels framing flowers and plants. On the base is a six-character mark reading 慎德堂傳古製 (Shende Tang chuangu zhi ‘Made for the Hall of Prudent Virtue in ancient style’) in a double circle in underglaze blue. The dish has a double foot ring – a feature of early Kangxi porcelain dishes.
