Comments:The colour of the glaze, design of the bird’s head and overall quality of this piece relate to finds from the Xicun kilns in Guangdong province. Acquired by A. D. Brankston in Jizhou, Jiangxi province, but no comparable wares have been excavated in this area, The material and decoration link the fragment to the phoenix-head ewer 1936,1012.206.
