Description:
Swatow-type Zhangzhou Export Ware porcelain dish. Decorated in red, turquoise, green and black overglaze enamels. Inside in centre, a medallion of a peony reserved in white against a red ground. Around it, two flying phoenix in black and turquoise with turquoise cloud scrolls and floral sprays in between. Bordered medallions in black, green and turquoise contain flowering bushes and birds. Base roughly glazed.
