Description:
Porcelain lobed dish with underglaze blue decoration. This moulded dish has straight sides lobed into ten sections and out-turned at the rim. The foot ring is stepped and the base glazed and marked with a poorly written six-character Xuande reign mark. Inside it is painted in underglaze blue with two breeds of fish swimming in opposite directions among lotus and other water weeds. Similar designs of four fish in different attitudes are depicted on the outside.
