Description:
Porcelain dish with underglaze blue decoration. This dish has rounded sides and a tapering foot. It is painted in underglaze blue inside with a plump scaly five-clawed dragon in the centre with closed jaws, prancing on its front paws with its back legs flailing in the air amid auspicious ‘ruyi’ clouds; around the rim is a band of tightly packed ‘ruyi’ heads. Outside are two dragons chasing flaming pearls among clouds. On the base is a six-character Hongzhi reign mark in a double ring.
